In the manufacturing of our products, we attach great importance to environmental protection and to minimising our use of resources. We have been closely involved since 2002 in various projects relating to the efficiency of resource deployment, in which heat recovery, outdoor air cooling and LED lighting all play an important role. Our aim is to produce our food with maximum efficiency and minimum impact on resources.

We generate most of the company’s electricity requirements ourselves, using an innovative natural gas-powered combined heat and power plant. For this systems solution we were awarded the Resource Efficiency Prize of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia for innovative processes in 2010.
